About Atiera J.

My name is Atiera J. and I have a passion for building community through travel, photography, visual storytelling and creative writing. Growing up, my parents exposed me to the unmatched beauty of traveling abroad as a young child. Coming from West-Indian roots I fondly remember visiting my mother’s birth country and climbing up Dunn River Waterfalls in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at the age of five with my parents and older brother. The memories I’ve created through travel has shaped my perspective and the way I live. Traveling will teach you how to approach new places and seek understanding about people and cultures.

The mission behind Luxfordable is simply to elevate the cross-cultural experiences of Black and Brown travelers by providing informative travel knowledge and resources to build a community of informed individuals who enjoy luxurious international experiences while not breaking the bank. I will support you with providing the tools to have an unforgettable travel experience. By highlighting my own travel journeys through photography and creative writing, I can hopefully empower more Black and Brown people to build community overseas and see themselves as international travelers.
